Christina's World, Andrew Wyeth, 1948, Tempera, 32 1/4" x 47 3/4"
The Museum of Modern Art, New York
Andrew was born in 1917 and experinced world war 2. He learned to paint from his father and mother who home schooled him. He has art in his family from his father who was a famous illastartor that illastrated for magizines cartoons and even for national geographic.

THis painting is a fine example of emotionalism. He uses a good example of shape as he draws your eyes to the girl. His use of line is great and you can see where the yard begins and ends.I think this painting gives you a whole bunch of strong emotions
